Comparing the two maps and looking at the position of the village dwellings at the beginning of the new millennium it can be seen that the locations of the houses has changed little in the space of 400 years.
Kerebyeleis Gate marked the way to the village of Cold Kirby and ruins at the rear of the present-day Valley View Farm are thought to be those of Oldbylande Cote.
